Crescent City Sports to live stream LHSAA bowling team finals Thursday

NEW ORLEANS – For the first time in its history, Crescent City Sports will produce a live video stream of the finals of a Louisiana High School Athletic Association championship event.

CCS will have live coverage of the LHSAA boys and girls bowling team championship Thursday from All Star Lanes in Baton Rouge.

Coverage begins with the semifinals at 11 a.m., followed by the finals at approximately 1 p.m. CCS’ Ken Trahan and Lenny Vangilder will describe the action.

“As Lenny and I are lifetime bowlers and huge fans and advocates of the sport, it is an honor and a privilege to partner with the LHSAA to bring the state championships to all fans of the respective schools and the sport,” Trahan said. “We are thrilled to bring attention to bowling, a sport for which we have served as a media destination for several years, and this is the culmination of that effort.”

Both defending champions, the Brother Martin boys and Academy of our Lady girls, are back in the semifinals, each needing two wins Thursday to repeat.

Brother Martin, which has won three of the last four boys titles, will face Central Lafourche in a matchup of unbeatens in one semifinal, while top-seeded Central meets Archbishop Rummel in the other semifinal matchup.

In the girls semifinals, AOL takes on East Ascension in a rematch of last year’s championship, while undefeated South Terrebonne battles Central.

Crescent City Sports will feature live streaming of no fewer than 30 high school sporting events throughout the 2018-19 school year. Additionally, in cooperation with Cox Sports Television, CCS will also produce up to 10 more events that will both be televised on CST and streamed on the site.
