Cumulus 106.1 FM NASH ICON to carry official LHSAA broadcasts of state title games

The LHSAA has partnered with Cumulus Radio New Orleans for broadcasts of all six of its state championship games this weekend in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome.

“It is a pleasure and honor to once again partner with the LHSAA to present the Allstate Sugar Bowl Prep Classic to a sizeable radio and internet audience,” said Cumulus New Orleans sports director Ken Trahan. “We value the relationship and will present the games in quality fashion with consummate professionals delivering the product.”

“The LHSAA is proud to partner with Cumulus Radio to broadcast the 2019 Allstate Sugar Bowl/ LHSAA Prep Classic. It is important to give the schools competing the exposure they deserve and fans a way to tune in,” said LHSAA Executive Director Eddie Bonine.

The games begin at noon on Friday as Ouachita Christian battles Catholic Pointe Coupee in the Division IV championship game, followed by the Class 2A title game pitting Many against Ferriday. The final game of the day has St. James battling Jennings in the Class 3A championship game.

On Saturday morning, listen to The 3 Tailgaters Show with Trahan and Ed Daniels, followed by the Class 1A championship game between Oak Grove and White Castle at noon. At 3:30 p.m., it is the Class 4A title game pitting Karr against Warren Easton before the finale has Acadiana squaring off with Destrehan in the Class 5A championship game.
